We belive that some of the clothing stores such as Abercombie and Fitch, American Eagel, and Hollister are pretty much the same clothing, with different price range. We think that the T-Shirts look the same, same with the sweaters with different names on them. Alot of people buy there clothing for the brand name, to fit in with everyone else, we think that people should buy what they want to buy and not what everyone else is buying.

I agree. Whats with the brand name anyways? Like is there honestly is something wrong with something from Giant Tiger? Or does everyone have to wear brand names? I don't and I am doing just fine. So why do people freak about it?
ok i dont buy name brands just because people liek it.. i buy it cuz i like it..
i buy stuff from gt cuz i like it when you have a job and go out and buy i 50 dollar holister sweater.. you feel good that you erned it.. its not weather im gunna fit in or not.. your friends arnt gunna stop chillin with you cuz you wearing clothign baught from gt.. its almost putting a stario type on people that wear naw brands just liek you feel your getting stario typed when you dont waer name brands..??
no knocks to you guys i love you both lol.. im just putting out an argument lol OX
I think that is very true you bring a good point.
Who are they marketing to?
When we look at our unit on advertising, we are going to examine really closely AUDIENCE. One type of audience is called the emulator-achievers. These are the people in our society who like to 'look, act and buy' the same as those whom they emulate - who they believe to be successful. . . An interesting dynamic for those who are trying to sell as many products as they can by seperating as many of us from our money as possible.
I agree with you girls. I mean once i baught this shirt from GT and the little symbol looked the same as an american eagle symbol. I hate when people put you into groups because of what brand you are wearing. LIke how Hollister is st.mikes. What is that?
Stupid i think.
When i go shopping, i hardly ever buy any clothing from american eagle, holister, or abrocrombie and fitch because everyone else pretty much owns everything in those stores. So why would i want to buy something that everyone else already has.
